Tax Cuts for the Rich

Congress and Bush have worked together to change the Altername Minimum Tax (AMT) laws. The good news is that you will probably save about $100 (assuming average income). That is about 1% of your tax liability. Then there are people who make over $200,000 a year will have their tax liability reduced by 5.9% (for about $4,500 in savings a year).

Now, without a doubt this is yet another Bush tax cut that disproportionately benefits the wealthy. This is at a time of huge budget deficits. This really is disturbing and I want to make it perfectly clear why…
