by Jackson Miller on May 23rd, 2007

Enjoy the Preds while you can. Looks like they are going to be moving after next year.

RIMs Jim Balsillie to buy Nashville Predators

Hey, I like the Preds and all, but I am still going to buy a Blackberry 8830.

    First off, Jackson, you suck.

The worst part about this is that its just fodder (fod·der Pronunciation: ‘fä-d&r Function: noun : something fed to domestic animals; especially : coarse food for cattle, horses, or sheep) for the people that have been decrying expansion era hockey. Which is unfounded when looking at organizations such as Dallas and Tampa, who are in the top 10 among attendance and revenue. Added that the last two cups went to expansion teams and I am telling you now, it will be three in a row when Anaheim disposes of the Senators. Who, by the way, are also an expansion team, 1992, but no one give them sh!t cause theyre from Canada.

All that aside, there cant be any fiscal reason for Craig Leipold to do this if a fair market price was offered. So D!@k F!@#k McGee (Jim Balsillie) probably dangled an obsurd amount of money knowing that KC has been offering free rent and he obviously has no finacial difficulties. Leipold, like any good capitalist took it. I can understand that. But that doesnt mean I wont show him the meaning of “old time hockey” if he EVER shows his face on lower broad.

Atlanta had to wait almost 30 years after they let the Flames go to Calgary (which is ironic, can you even get a fire started in Calgary with the weather they get?) to get another team. I doubt Nashville will ever get another chance. And this will hurt Nashville. Yeah, so only 13,000 people showd up for a game. Do the math, 41 games, 13000 people, what establishment is gunna make up that despairty? Arena Football? Barnum and Bailys Circus? Oh no wait, Monster Truck Rallies, cause Nashville Auditorium is just getting to small to hold the massive hoards of spectators for those events. Good luck with that.

Hows that country song go, “you take one step foward I take two steps back”.
