justice Sunday II : It is over
I just wanted to post a little wrap up post about my experience live-blogging Justice Sunday II. I appreciate Charmaine Yoest giving me the opportunity to participate even though she knew I would be myself (i.e. progressive and liberal). That was a classy act from someone I now think is a classy individual.
I found it interesting that many of the conservative bloggers disagreed to some extent with the views expressed. Maybe that is more evidence that most of the country is left of the Extreme Right (formerly known as the Religious Right). I think Evangelical Outpust has a pretty accurate summary that is just sarcastic enough to indicate a fair amount of disagreement with the Justice Sunday II speakers.
My understanding of the purpose of inviting bloggers to Justice Sunday II was that it would ensure the conversation continued for days after the event. One blogger (I think it was Bill Hobbs) said something along the lines of, ‘It seems there was more interesting commentary in the days leading up to Justice Sunday II when people were debating whether or not it was a good thing’. (That is in no way an exact quote.) I agreed with that statement, but Bill is saying this on his blog ‘I’m pretty sure the Left heard it differently, though, and I’ll be linking to some of their blog coverage in the next few days.’ (And yes, that is an exact quote.) So who knows. Maybe the conversation will continue, maybe it won’t. All I know is that I am done for now.
Good night.
