A900 Ringtone
I created a custom ringtone yesterday with the help of my dad. I was going to use a sample from an Imogen Heap song, but then I ended up creating my own ringtone in Garage Band as a quick and easy drag-and-drop job. If you want it on your phone too, all you have to do is download it.

Your ringtone seems to be .mp3, but everything else I’m finding around the net says they should be AAC, but no one specifies if it should be .aac or .mp3. Also, no one else seems to fully explain exactly HOW to get the ringtone on to the A900 once you’ve got it ready. I’ve tried uploading it to the Media folder but it only plays in Media Player, I can’t seem to assign it as a ringer.
How about a quick post telling us what format and extension the file should be as well as the exact instructions for installing & sing your created ringtone via Mac OS X?
Hey dudes. The ringtone can be in either MP3 or AAC. Mp3 has better quality therefore bigger size-only difference. Music uploaded to media folder cannot be set to ringtone. You must use an upload tool to send the ringtone to your phone and you must also have vision so you can download over the net and not be charged for every kb. Once the upload tool sends a text to your phone, click go, download it, and it will show up in your ringtones. I think the max size a ringtone can be is 500kb. Good Luck

I like the ringtone, but when I upload to my A900 I get this weird message saying my ringtone needs a handler. Did you get this? Also, I uploaded through mobile17, do you have a tool of your own?

I just downloaded it directly from the browser in the phone. It should then add it to your downloads and you can select it as the ring tone there.

Do you have a specific one that you used? Why would you upload the ringtone to the phone and then still have to download it?
