Thoughts on Apple TV

I have had an Apple TV for a few months. There are some things I really love and some things I really loathe.

Love List

  1. iPhone remote
  2. Syncing movies / music with my computer
  3. It looks amazing on my HDTV
  4. Needs very little maintenance
  5. I have 4 remotes (including the one on my iPhone)

Loathe List

  1. Why can’t I stream video from the web?!?!?
  2. Syncing my Apple TV makes the WiFi on my laptop virtually worthless
  3. Why are the iTunes radio stations not available on the Apple TV
  4. Every time I apply a software update I have to reconfigure my network settings
  5. I want App Store apps on my Apple TV

There you have it. My top ten list of things I love or loathe about the Apple TV. There is going to be a bunch of talk about Apple on Tuesday with the release of new iPods, iPhone 2.1 software, and more. I am expecting that once again the Apple TV will get no love.

Also, I am going to be a little busy on Tuesday.
