I have registered for the Generation Tennessee conference and will be there most of Friday and Saturday.
I am not quite sure about it though. Marcus went last year and said that it is worth it. I am keeping an open mind, but I am a little worried that it is just an opportunity to be “talked at” for a couple of days. Still, I am all for cross-generational communication (hell, my business partner is getting close to qualifying for AARP), so I am going to give it a chance and keep my mind open.
Here is how GenTN describes itself:
Tennessee is a pretty wonderful place, but together we can make it better.
GenTN is a non-profit, non-partisan leadership organization that is driven by this belief. The organization’s mission is to serve as a forum where emerging leaders from across the state can interact, be informed about issues facing Tennessee and be inspired to address these challenges and make a difference in their communities.
Hopefully it will be a great experience.
