It has been almost a year since I was threatened with a pretty heavy lawsuit. I never really wrote about it because I didn’t want to back them into a corner; I think that after InstaPundit linked to me, they didn’t want to back me into a corner either.
I was just thinking back to how incredibly scary that whole thing was. I don’t think that I ever explained what was so scary about it. While I don’t plan to go into detail, here is the basic gist.
The company that was suing “John Doe” seemed to exist for the sole purpose delivering services to the CIA. Oh, and it involved supposed war crimes (not by John Doe, but by the CIA). So, when I said a “big scary company” was trying to sue me, scary was an understatement.
Eventually the company was sent my contact information, and I haven’t heard anything since. Thankfully. Hopefully I never will.
