Let’s Play Catch Up
- We had a fence put around our backyard for our dog and our kids. It is the single best improvement we have ever done to our house. The dog is happier and we don’t have to walk her on cold mornings.
- One of my neighbors is seriously pissed about the fence. I had a land survey done and self-imposed an offset to try and help the situation. It sucks that she is pissed, but I think I have been a good neighbor.
- I didn’t eat Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Instead I spent some quality time talking to Ralph on the big white phone while my family ate (thanks to a very poorly timed and very painful migraine).
- Left overs aren’t quite as good when you are eating the meal for the first time.
- I went to pick up my grandmother from her Assisted Living home yesterday for Thanksgiving. It was a pretty sad scene when I walked in. Lots of blue-haired ladies dressed really nice, waiting for someone from their family to come pick them up. It was pretty tough.
- I hear taking her home was a sadder scene.
- We did not do any Black Friday shopping today (though Sabrina did get some new boots).
- I am going to be going back and forth to the Washington, DC area for the rest of 2007 and probably through January.
- Last week I flew my 100th flight of 2007 with American Airlines. That means two things: I travel too much, and I get free First Class upgrades until 2009.
- I have not started my Christmas shopping.
- The build-out has started for Plato’s Closet in Murfreesboro; hopefully we will open to buy clothes before the end of 2007. Look for a Grand Opening in February.
