Thursday night I will hop back on my bike and make the return trip of The Epic Journey of Fall 2007. It looks like I may have some weather to contend with too. Shit.
The best case scenario is that I leave DC Thursday evening in a light rain. Then while sleeping north of Roanoke the storm will blow over. Leaving me damp roads in the morning but no new precipitation. What do you think? Will I be that lucky?
Last night I rode the bike over to Dan and Lisa’s house to see all the work they have done on their Capital Hill row house. It was amazing work. While I was there Dan remembered he had a set of waterproof motorcycle armor that he isn’t using anymore. It happened to be a perfect fit, so rain or not, I will be better protected on the ride home than I was on the ride up.
