I don’t think I know a single person who is going to get an iPhone tomorrow. I know some people who would like to but feel it is cost prohibitive. I know some people who want to wait for a later generation iPhone with the kinks worked out. I know lots of people who have smart phones and are sticking with them (many because AT&T’s EDGE network is slower than the EVDO they are used to).
Come to think of it, I think Helene is getting one for a graduation present and may get it tomorrow.
Still, for a device that is supposed to have people queing up outside hours in advance, I am amazed that I don’t know people who will be in those lines. I mean, I hang with a fair amount of early adopters and technophiles, not to mention pure Apple geeks.
What gives? Are you going to get one?

Hey, I know someone who will be camping out. He told me yesterday, and all of a sudden I felt like I ought to have one. The cost is really the number one reason at this moment for me saying no. But I really could use a better syncing phone, and a better mail client. Windows Mobile is great with outlook, but the missing sync stuff just barely gets you to a livable state. It’s not ideal by any stretch.
How about Palm sync and email?
I do so want one, but am going to wait until 1) the price goes down and 2) they work out the kinks. I had heard that the first batch released was already recalled before today so we’re already at V2.
With al that said, they are pretty sweet!!!!
Jane, are you already on AT&T? Just curious.
Marcus, Palm sync is acceptable, but it is a 3rd party package.
Palm email is GREAT, but I use IMAP which keeps everything in sync.
Nope - I’m on Sprint right now.
