I have had a flickr account for 3-4 years. Now, I am locked out of my flickr account, and I am pissed.
See, a couple of weeks ago I was forced to create a yahoo id to continue to access my flickr account. Then a series of unfortunate events took place where I ends up going through 3 laptops in as many weeks. Now, I can’t find ANY record of what my Yahoo id is. Of course, my old flickr login doesn’t work because it has already been associated with a Yahoo! account. Thank god for password recovery. Right?
WRONG! For some reason Yahoo has decided that they need a super strict username recovery process. It asks my birthdate, zipcode, country, and the secondary email address on the account. Now, I know my birthdate, it hasn’t changed in almost 30 years. I know my zip code as well; it hasn’t changed in over 2 years. Of course, I have never left the US so I am pretty sure I got that one right too. But are you ready for the kicker? The email address HAS to be the one I used to log into flickr with since that association is why I can’t login in the first place. Yet, there is no record found.
Now, I can still post photos to my account because I still know my secret posting email address and that hasn’t changed. I just can’t actually use my photos.
Thanks for making this unnecessarily complicated Yahoo!
P.S. If someone from Yahoo! reads this and knows what I can do to regain access to my account, please let me know.

I had major problems with my account when I had to sync my yahoo and flickr account together. I couldn’t get any responses to my e-mails to flickr either, but one day it just started working when i tried it randomly.
