We are lucky to have some great employees at Plato’s Closet of Cool Springs. Still, it would be hard for them to care as much about customer service as the owners. Sometimes people are just having a bad day, and when those people are your employees, your customers don’t get your best service.
I am starting to think about application interfaces differently now. Historically I have approached application interfaces as a set of controls to a tool. Now I am thinking of the user interface as the “employees”. I want my employees to be focused on quality customer service and sales. I want the customers to be able to get what they want from the business (i.e. make the tool do what they want), but I also want to enjoy the interaction.
I like to see smiling customers leaving Plato’s. I want to replicate that with statzen.
