I had a weird problem with my a900 yesterday. I went to take a picture and was told I was out of memory. The weird part was that when I went to delete some pictures I only had 3 in there. I checked my out box from picture mail but that is stored on a Sprint server (not in phone memory). I then checked my regular text messages to see if I had let a ton of those pile up, but there were only 13.
I started to dig around in Tools -> Mass Storage -> File Manager. It turns out that I somehow had a second photo album in the DCIM directory and that album had 200 pictures in it. I was able to delete the pictures in the album, but I was not able to delete the album. I also noticed that I see the second album at all when I “review pictures”.
I am not quite sure how it happened. Maybe I synced with iPhoto one day or something. I am just glad that I can easily send pictures from my phone to Flickr so that I don’t need to worry about the pictures stored on the phone.
