border="0" alt="10%" align="right" style="padding:5px;"/>When I was very young (2 yrs old?) my Grandfather on my mother’s side died of ALS. I barely remember him, but I hold on close to the stories that I have. My Grandfather’s name was Henry Shipp. He was a Postal worker and a Veteran of WWII. He died a horrible and early death from a disease from which there is no known cure. He died from ALS.
On October 15th, 2005 there is a walk here in Nashville that is raising money to fight ALS; it is the 2005 Walk To D’Feet ALS. My family is going to be walking in memory of my Grandfather. Our ‘team name’ is Henry’s Hikers.
Now, I don’t ask much of you, my blog readership, but today I am going to ask a favor. Please donate to Henry’s Hikers and help is D’Feet ALS once and for all. Click the Sponsor Me button below to make a donation. I am counting on you. My fundraising goal is $200.

Also, I want to mention that my mom does regular work with the ALS foundation. She is really dedicated to this fight, and for that I am grateful.
Update: Any amount is acceptable. $1, $5, $25
Thanks.
